The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Devices have to be taken to a collection site or an event rather than put out at the curb, and the county household hazardous waste days are open to Hudson County residents but not to businesses.
West New York has no separate bulk day and no published drop-off yard of its own, so the routes split by material. Household furniture, mattresses and bagged material go out with the regular garbage on the district day, with mattresses wrapped in plastic, and the town states that it does not pick up construction materials. Refrigerators, stoves and water heaters are collected after a call to the town at least 24 hours ahead. Televisions, computers, monitors, laptops, printers and fax machines are covered devices in the state electronics program, free to consumers and small employers at approved collection sites, and the county authority also takes approved electronic waste free at its household hazardous waste days while refusing washers, dryers, refrigerators and air conditioners.
