The Santa Rosa bulky list is limited to named household items and refuses concrete and asphalt, and the cart programme is household material only, so no curbside route takes a project load. The hauler rents three and four cubic yard bins at published rates, and the county refuse disposal sites weigh mixed construction and demolition debris at a published per ton rate with a minimum per vehicle, which sit in their own options.

Keep concrete, asphalt, dirt and rock out of the bulky pile, and keep paint, solvents, treated wood and pressure-treated material for the county household hazardous waste facility. Cover a hauled load, because an uncovered or unsecured load is charged per vehicle at the county sites, and separate clean wood, pallets, plywood and non-painted wood chips if the load is going to the Central Disposal Site.

Sonoma County residents only, who must bring identification to prove residency, and no appointment is required. A vehicle may carry no more than 15 gallons of liquid with no container over five gallons, or 125 pounds of solid material, measured by container size rather than contents. Explosives and ammunition, radioactive material, biological or medical waste other than syringes, controlled substances, compressed gas cylinders other than 20-pound barbecue and 1-pound propane cylinders, and pressure-treated wood are refused, and electronics are not accepted here because they go to the transfer station e-waste areas.

What happens to a holiday tree?+
Trees are collected at the curb on the service day between December 30 and January 10.
