Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Louisville keeps its own drop off sites for metal and yard waste and sends everything else hard to recycle into Boulder County. The city container at the RV Dump Station on Empire Road at State Highway 42 takes scrap metal, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, stainless steel, steel and water heaters, but it refuses chemicals, electronics, furniture, hazardous waste, household garbage, paint cans, solvents and liquids and yard material. Woody yard waste goes to the city branch site north of the Louisville Cemetery, leaves and grass clippings go to the Sports Complex leaf drop from October 20 to November 23, and Republic customers can put yard trimmings in the compost cart. Mattresses, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, televisions and other hard-to-recycle items go to the Eco-Cycle site at 6400 Arapahoe Road in Boulder, open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a facility fee per vehicle and published item charges. Paint and chemicals go to the Boulder County hazardous waste facility at 1901 63rd St., open Wednesday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the county publishes no drop-off fee, so confirm the terms on 720-564-2251 before a trip. Usable furniture, appliances and building material go to the reuse center next to the hard-to-recycle site, where the county publishes no donation terms, and the county construction directory lists a transfer station at 5880 Butte Mill Rd. that accepts mattresses, large appliances, electronics, concrete and yard trimmings. Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.
