GFL Environmental runs DeLand's weekly garbage, recycling and yard waste collection, and the city allows one bulk load of up to three cubic yards on the same day as the regular pickup. Yard debris has its own sizing rules, appliances use a scheduled special collection, and the city lists a free tire allowance each year. Anything outside the carts can be billed as extra, household hazardous waste moves through Volusia County's free on-site facility, and separated loads of yard waste, construction material, appliances and tires go to the county landfill or the West Volusia Transfer Station.
