Full-size household refrigerator
Top-freezer, bottom-freezer, side-by-side and French-door household fridges use Refrigerator. A built-in fridge must already be uninstalled and outside. Ask us about unusual size or construction before choosing.
Mini fridge or separate freezer
Choose Mini fridge for a compact household unit. Choose Freezer for a separate household chest or upright freezer. Add one item for each appliance that is going.
Check unusual equipment first
Commercial refrigerators have a separate catalog choice. Send the model and a photo if you are unsure about the unit or its refrigerant. A standard household selection is not a quote for a commercial or walk-in system.

Can I get same-day fridge pickup in Brooklyn?+
Book by 2pm local time for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows your available dates and pickup readiness time. The fridge must be prepared and accessible outside by that time. We text before arrival and send photos after pickup; the booking is for a day rather than a precise arrival appointment.
Is the freezer compartment a second item?+
No. The freezer compartment attached to a household refrigerator is part of that refrigerator. A separate chest or upright freezer is its own appliance and should be added separately. Compact household refrigerators use the Mini fridge choice.
Will you remove a refrigerator from inside my home?+
Dropcurb picks up from an accessible ground-level outdoor spot. Arrange any indoor carrying, stairs, uninstallation and water-line disconnection before pickup. Once it is prepared outside, we handle loading and haul-away. Text us a photo of the outdoor setup if you are unsure about access.
Can you collect the old fridge if I bought the new one elsewhere?+
Yes. You can book refrigerator removal on its own, independently of a purchase or delivery. If your new fridge has not arrived yet, check whether the retailer already included old-appliance haul-away. For a separate Dropcurb pickup, arrange preparation and outdoor placement before the readiness time shown at checkout.
Do I need to remove the refrigerant before pickup?+
Do not attempt to remove refrigerant yourself. Send us the model and refrigerant label if handling requirements are unclear, or the label identifies R600a or R32, so we can confirm whether your appliance can be handled before you book. Refrigerant work belongs with a qualified professional. A catalog listing alone does not confirm every appliance model or refrigerant.
Does NYC pick up every type of refrigerator?+
No. Eligible cooling appliances require a DSNY refrigerant-removal appointment, followed by collection on the next recycling day. Appliances containing R600a or R32 refrigerant are excluded, as are oversized units that cannot fit the collection truck.
