Can you take the old machines if the delivery company left them behind?+
Yes. Dropcurb pickup can be booked independently of a new appliance purchase. Choose the machines that are going and arrange their preparation and outdoor placement. If your replacement delivery is still ahead, first check whether the retailer already included old-appliance haul-away.
Can a washer or dryer go out with NYC recycling?+
Yes. DSNY lists washing machines and clothes dryers as recyclable bulk items. Use the recycling collection for your address. A refrigerator is different: it needs the refrigerant process before collection, and some refrigerants are excluded.Official guidance
