Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.

Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

No appointment and no separate charge are published for that route because the refuse service is billed on the annual tax bill.
Household furniture is the first item named in the city's curbside bulk category, so a couch or a sofa goes out with the weekly refuse on the regular collection day and needs no appointment.
Bedding and mattresses are named in the city's own curbside bulk category, so a mattress goes out on the regular refuse collection day with the rest of the weekly service. The county ecopark refuses mattresses and other foam-based toppers, which leaves the curbside route as the local one.
Large appliances are named in the curbside bulk category with one published condition: doors must be removed from refrigerators and other appliances with latches. The county ecopark also takes appliances and charges only for a unit that still contains refrigerant.
Only tires that originate from a home may be placed out for pickup on the regular refuse collection day, and the city separates them from the rest of the waste stream and hauls them to the transfer station on their own. Tires from an automotive or other business are not serviced through residential collection.
