Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions, computers and other electronics

Accepted with preparation

Electronics are banned from the garbage and from the county transfer stations, but they have free routes. Televisions, computers and monitors ride the state E-Cycle Washington programme at no charge, the Recology Store takes e-waste, and small electronics that fit the size and weight limits are collected at the curb without a fee.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Free at authorised E-Cycle Washington collection sites for computers, laptops, monitors and televisions, free through the Recology Store Issaquah for the e-waste it accepts, and free at the curb for small electronics within the special item limits. Electronics outside the E-Cycle Washington product list carry a fee that has to be confirmed with the recycler.
When & how
Small electronics go out on your normal recycling collection day, on top of the blue recycling cart, once you have sent in a special item recycling request. Larger items go to an E-Cycle Washington collection site or to the Recology Store during its open hours.
Get it ready
For the free curbside route the item has to be no larger than two feet by two feet by two feet, under thirty-five pounds, bagged in a one gallon plastic bag, and no more than three items go in one pickup, so a television or a monitor does not qualify at the curb and belongs at an E-Cycle Washington site instead. Wipe personal data before handover, and never put electronics in the recycling cart or the garbage.

Recology King County under contract with the City of Issaquah, with King County for the transfer stations, mattress recycling and household hazardous waste, and E-Cycle Washington for electronics

Use a free E-Cycle Washington collection site

An Issaquah household with a television, monitor, computer, laptop or tablet that cannot go in the garbage or in a recycling cart.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Computers, laptops, monitors and televisions are recycled free of charge at authorised E-Cycle Washington collection sites. The county notes that electronics outside the E-Cycle Washington product list carry a fee that has to be confirmed with the recycler.
Arrange it
Find the nearest authorised collection site through the E-Cycle Washington locator, or take the item to the Recology Store Issaquah at 355 NW Gilman Blvd during its open hours, and wipe personal data before handover.

The free curbside small item programme will not take a television or monitor, because items have to fit inside two feet by two feet by two feet and weigh under thirty-five pounds, and items outside the state programme can carry a recycling fee.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self haul in Issaquah runs to the county, not the city. The King County Factoria Recycling and Transfer Station at 13800 SE 32nd Street in Bellevue is the site that names Issaquah in its service area, and it takes garbage, recycling, mattresses, futons and box springs for recycling, refrigerant appliances, tires up to four per customer, clean wood, yard waste, textiles, bicycles and household hazardous waste, which is free for King County residents. Garbage carries a minimum charge for the first 320 pounds and a per ton rate above that, mattress and appliance recycling are charged per item, and the CleanUp LIFT discount takes twenty dollars off each type of waste for households with a ProviderOne, EBT or ORCA LIFT card. Televisions and computers are not accepted there at all; they go to a free E-Cycle Washington collection site or to the Recology Store Issaquah at 355 NW Gilman Blvd, which also takes batteries, textiles, block Styrofoam, hardcover books and bicycles in limited quantities. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Issaquah.

How much does TV removal cost in Issaquah?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Issaquah?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do old televisions and computers go in Issaquah?

To a free E-Cycle Washington collection site. Computers, laptops, monitors and televisions are recycled there at no charge, and the county states that electronics outside that product list carry a fee. The Recology Store Issaquah also takes e-waste for reuse and recycling, and small electronics and appliances that are no more than two feet by two feet by two feet and under thirty-five pounds can ride the free curbside special item programme, bagged and limited to three items per pickup. Televisions and computers are not accepted in the garbage or at the county transfer stations.Official guidance
